The Bayou Prowlers are a four-piece band that plays a swampy brand of blues with a dash of funk, soul, gospel, and rock. Along with covers by artists like Lightnin’ Slim, Lazy Lester, Slim Harpo, The Blues Brothers, The Meters and many more, the band also plays original material. Whether it is on the festival stage or at the neighborhood bar, The Bayou Prowlers transport the audience to the Louisiana Bayou.

The members are JT Doubet - Lead Vocals and Guitar, Skye Mibbs - Tenor Sax and Backing Vocals, Ben Petropoulos - Bass Guitar, and John Draws - Drums.

Since it's formation, The Bayou Prowlers have made a name for themselves accross Central Illinois. The Venues they have played include: Pottsie's Too, The Rocket Tap, Wildlife Prairie Park, Pop A Top Again, Wee-Ma-Tuk Country Club, and The Stage Tap. The band has also been featured on Tri-State's Public Radio's Folk Weekend Show.
